What a blessing it is to have one of our alumni on staff this year in the roll of computer teacher for students in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade.

A special treat for one of the middle school classes is the opportunity to learn the C++ programming language. C++ is one of the more commonly used computer languages in use today. Students will earn the basics of writing, compiling and running their own programs in the C++ language. They will be using tools such as Visual C++ 2008 to aid them in their understanding of a well written computer program, as well as a number of assignments and projects geared toward education.

Upon completion, students will have a much deeper understanding of the inner workings of not only a computer program, but also of a computer as a whole, improving their computer literacy and knowing why computers work the way they do.

As the computer is now an integral part of our lives, the knowledge they attain will be an invaluable asset to their education.
