Student Activities
Ambassador Christian Academy provides a wide variety of activities and experiences for students. A focus on community service allows students to appreciate and establish friendships with seniors in local nursing and assisted living facilities. Students take part in food pantry ministries as they become aware of the needs of others. Students are involved in projects benefiting a local pregnancy center and in collecting supplies for the homework center of The Boston Project ministry. ACA students have written letters to Christian prisoners in Uzbekistan, collected toys, clothing and food for Ocean County hunger relief, and have served in The Bread of Life Food Pantry.
Whole school activities include the annual Walk for Education, the winter and spring Concert and Art Show, and Field Day. In the spring a Festival of Excellence highlights student performance with research projects and reports displayed for a public open house. In February, students enjoy a week of special focus on Math, including the 100th day of school. Students also participate in the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) Math Olympics and Creative Writing Festivals. Missions conferences have allowed students to be made aware of great missionaries of the past and to connect with contemporary missionaries serving the Lord around the world.
The middle school students attend the National Day of Prayer services at the Ocean County Government building and participate in the annual nationwide “See You at the Pole” prayer time at the school flagpole. They are responsible for the production of an annual Yearbook and participate in a fall retreat at America’s Keswick. The Middle School Student Council is elected by student vote, and provides leadership opportunities for students as they plan service and social activities for their peers. They attend an annual ACSI leadership conference each fall.
