Student Life

Every Day at Ambassador Christian Academy

The Preeminence of Jesus Christ
Every day your child is present at Ambassador Christian Academy, he/she is immersed into an environment that whole-heartedly pushes toward establishing the Preeminence of Jesus Christ in every area of life, both now as a student and life beyond ACA.  Whether in Bible class, Biology, World History, or Financial Literacy, whether at the Gym, Recess, Lunch, or Mid-Day Break, whether in Art, Band, Choir, or even if a student is doodling on the board, the primary and greatest focus is that students be discipled into trusting and desiring that Christ be over all, through all, and in all.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. - Col. 1:15-18

Immersion into God
This is done primarily by desiring and striving to subject all things to the Lordship of Christ.  Since all that has happened in human history has been ordained by God, all the beauty of the earth and heavens and all that is in them sing praises to the God who made them, the way the non-living world itself obeys the laws God has written into the fabric of the universe cry out for God to be glorified by giving Him the credit He is due and acknowledge Him as being the source and sustainer of all, and how nothing that is or has been or every will be cannot give thanks and credit to the God who made and upholds it all in place by the power of His Word.

All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. - 1 John 1:3

He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much superior to angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs. - Hebrews 1:3-4

For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. - Romans 1:20

Allegiance to God and His Word
And so while we do so imperfectly, since it is the natural inclination of man to usurp God from His rightful places over all things, we start every day by fighting against the flesh, putting the flesh to death, and committing our hearts and lives to God and His Word.

Pledge to the Christian Flag Pledge to the Bible
I pledge allegiance to the Christian Flag and the Savior for Whose Kingdom it stands.  One Savior, crucified, risen, and coming again with life and liberty to all who believe.
I pledge allegiance to the Bible, God’s holy Word. I will make it a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. I will hide its words in my heart that I might not sin against God.

Chapel, Bible Class, and Discipleship Wednesdays
Yet doing so can simply be a routine task, and anyone can claim to pledge outwardly without confessing such inwardly in the heart.  Therefore, it is the understanding that since faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of Christ, it is of the utmost importance that we obey Christ's command to be disciples who make disciples by teaching them to observe and obey all that Christ has given and commanded of us.

So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. - Romans 10:17

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:18-20

And so as a school committed to following in the ways of Christ, we want to ensure that we are faithful to God's command and intentionally immerse students in the Word of God.  This is done through having a Chapel service once a week, done either by students, themselves, or guest speakers, Bible class multiple times a week, and a set time for discipleship in small groups at the beginning of each month.

The Gospel
The focus of each Chapel, Bible Class, Discipleship, all of it, revolving around the need for the students to be served with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
What, then, is this Gospel we proclaim?

"This, then, is the gospel we are to proclaim: That Jesus Christ, who is God incarnate, humbled Himself to die on our behalf. Thus He became the sinless sacrifice to pay the penalty of our guilt. He rose from the dead to declare with power that He is Lord over all, and He offers eternal life freely to sinners who will surrender to Him in humble, repentant faith. This gospel promises nothing to the haughty rebel, but for broken, penitent sinners, it graciously offers everything that pertains to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3)."

"So what are the essentials of [the Gospel]? We can sum them up in four words: God, man, Christ, and response.
1. God is our holy Creator and righteous Judge. He created us to glorify Him and enjoy Him forever (Gen. 2:7, 16-17; 18:25; Matt. 25:31-33).
2. But mankind has rebelled against God by sinning against His holy character and law (Gen. 3:1-7). We’ve all participated in this sinful rebellion, both in Adam as our representative head and in our own individual actions (1 Kings 8:46; Rom. 3:23; 5:12, 19; Eph. 2:1-3). As a result, we have alienated ourselves from God and have exposed ourselves to His righteous wrath, which will banish us eternally to hell if we are not forgiven (Eph. 2:12; John 3:36; Rom. 1:18; Matt. 13:50).
3. But God sent Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, to die the death that we deserved for our sins – the righteous for the unrighteous – so that God might both punish our sin in Christ and forgive it in us (John 1:14; Rom. 3:21-26; 5;6-8; Eph. 2:4-6).
4. The only saving response to this Good News is repentance and belief (Matt. 3:2; 4:17; Mark 1:15; Luke 3:7-9; John 20:31). We must repent of our sins (turn from them and to God) and believe in Jesus Christ for forgiveness of our sins and reconciliation to God (Mark Dever and Paul Alexander)."

Prayer
And since we as humans can't save, we entrust it all to the God who is mighty to save, who is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness for those who do confess their sins, and from whom we will never be separated.

The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing. - Zeph. 3:17

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. - 1 John 1:9

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:26-31

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 8:37-38

Apologetics, Relationships, and Evangelism
And so, out of a love for Him, His Church, His name to be glorified, souls to be saved, and a desire to obey Him and make disciples who make disciples, we act.  In so doing, we as a school, not only participate in the discipline of Apologetics, the art and practice of defending the truth of Christianity over and above all other false teachings and illogical lies, not only for the sake of confidence in the heart and mind of a believer, but also to be ready to answer any question anyone asks, especially for the reason for the hope that is within, but strive, as a community of Christians, to be whole-hearted united with each other, in Christ, knowing that every dividing wall of hostility has been broken down in Him, and seek for all to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, that they too, might be saved, and bring Glory to His name!

but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect - 1 Peter 3:15

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility. - Eph. 2:13-16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. - John 3:16-18
